Not perfect, but good enough

This was a lovely street view I saw on the way back home from work in winter time. The colourful sky seemed like a reward to me after a long day. I was thinking what to post on Instagram😂 and decided to record myself painting from scratch for the first time.

Although the end result looked alright - I achieved what I wanted for this painting: the colours of the sky, when I was painting it, right from the beginning I felt like I was making mistakes. The perspectives, the proportions of parked cars, the position of the blue bins at the bottom left corner and the lines started to bleed when I sprayed water on the paper etc. It turned out alright.

Although I still think there’s much to improve, it turns out alright and I enjoyed painting it and I’m happy that I recorded the process.

It’s very far from perfect, but good enough to make me happy.
