At stake: Can federal candidates challenge state election laws under Article III when those laws regulate the “time, place, and manner” of federal elections? The case comes to the Supreme Court after Congressman Bost sued the Illinois State Board of Elections, arguing that a state law allowing mail-in ballots received 14 days after Election Day to be counted is unlawful under federal law.
