This movie was inspired by a dress and a potato sack. My girlfriend and I attended the Medieval Festival in Visby, Gotland, where we bought her a traditional dress. I got a linen potato sack, from which I sewed a Medieval-style tunic. We were headed to the Klaräven River for a week-long canoe (kanot) trip anyway, so we thought it would be fun to shoot a Medieval-style movie. We hid the plastic as much as we reasonably could and improvised the rest, relying on basic bushcraft skills along the way. The result is a meditative movie without dialogue, as relaxing to watch as it was to paddle the Klarälven.
