Gunya is a traditional Ukrainian outer garment made of wool, worn by shepherds in the Carpathians. It is known for its thermal insulation and water resistance, thanks to which it perfectly protects against cold and rain. Guni production includes several stages: sheep shearing, wool cleaning and combing, thread spinning, weaving, stitching and decoration. Gunya is not only functional clothing, but also a symbol of Ukrainian cultural heritage, passed down from generation to generation.
