Many athletes fail to transfer their strength into explosiveness.
It not for a lack of training hard or lifting heavy.
The issue is something called your rate of force development.
This means how quickly you can apply all of your strength.
It’s kinda like how two cars can have the same engine, but the one that hits top speed faster wins the race.
Athletes who are very explosive can do this almost instantaneously.
That’s where these 2 exercise parings come into play.
These heavier but still fast power movements (power clean & banded back squat) make you apply a ton of force but at a faster rate. This primes the body to be more explosive.
Then we move into our explosive movement which are to jumps that purely focus on muscle power (rocker variations shown)
This teaches the muscle to be strong and explosive, making you a better athlete.
