A strong contender for this year's Academy Awards! The Japanese dub cast has been confirmed, including Kurokawa Soya, Horikoshi Reika, Yamazato Ryota, Kaji Yuki, Maeno Tomoaki, Ochiai Fukushi, Ikoma Yurie, and Hinata Minami! The second trailer for "ARCO" has been released!

Natalie Portman serves as executive producer, CHANEL has signed up as a sponsor, and the up-and-coming NEON has acquired distribution rights. Film festivals around the world have praised the film, saying things like, "One of the best animated films of the last decade," "An ambitious, unique adventure where intellect and emotion collide," "A colorful, heart-pounding adventure that recalls the heart-pounding excitement of E.T. and the thrill of Studio Ghibli films," and "It elevates modern questions like ecology and AI into a moving story." Filled with romance and thrills, this moving fantasy adventure has finally been released in Japan.

Set in the near future, this nostalgic and heartwarming tale of a boy and girl in rainbow-colored suits is uniquely depicted in vibrantly colored animation by director Ugo Bienvenu, making his feature-length animation debut with this film. He chose 2D animation, believing it to be the most beautiful way to portray "truth as sensation," rather than fact. "This film is a work that both adults and children can enjoy together, a tale of adventure that moved me in my youth. It's a story of returning to simple everyday life, where humans live in harmony with nature, that leads us to imagine not 'tomorrow,' but 'the day after,'" he said. Five years in the making, this film is a humanistic tale that resonates with today's audiences, depicting imagination, hope, and responsibility for the future.

The Japanese dubbed version co-stars Kurokawa Soya and Horikoshi Reika! Yamasato Ryota plays the bob-haired brothers who pursue Aruko!

Kurokawa Soya co-stars as the young boy Arco and Horikoshi Reika as the young girl Iris, marking their first leading role in an anime film for both characters. The film also features a star-studded voice cast, including Yamasato Ryota as Dougie, Maeno Tomoaki as Stewie, Ochiai Fukushi as Frankie, two of the three bob-haired brothers chasing Arco, Kaji Yuki as Mickey, the babysitting robot who lives in Iris's house, Ikoma Yurie as Iris's classmate Clifford, and Hinata Minami as Arco's mother!

The second teaser trailer begins with a miraculous encounter between Iris, living in the year 2075, and Arco, who has come from a world far into the future. It's moving to see the strong bond that develops between these two people, each yearning for a place "somewhere other than here" in their respective worlds. With Iris surprised by Arco's ability to understand bird language and a mysterious trio pursuing him, the story's unpredictable and exciting developments are sure to build anticipation!
"ARCO" is scheduled for release on April 24, 2026.
