being a perfectionist is exhausting. sometimes, I’ll spend hours on something, only to decide it’s not ‘good enough’ and completely scrap it. it’s frustrating because I know perfection isn’t real, but that doesn’t stop me from chasing it.

a lot of the pieces on this account are ones I don’t even like. but part of letting go of perfectionism—at least for me—has been posting anyway. sometimes I’ll film content and just be like, ‘f*ck it, I don’t care if I didn’t like the artwork, a video’s a video.’ perfectionism will destroy me if I let it.

another thing that’s helped? sketchbooks. I still scribble random shit in mine because, at the end of the day, it’s for no one but me. when I’m stressed, I sketch. a lot of times, I just scribble. and honestly, that’s what keeps art fun for me.
