BEST WALK ROUTE : Gaslamp Quarter, a historic district that's now a hub of nightlife, dining, and entertainment. Explore the Victorian architecture and check out some of the local shops and restaurants.
Continue your walk down Fifth Avenue to the San Diego Bay, where you'll see the USS Midway Museum, a former aircraft carrier that's now a floating museum. Take a stroll along the harbor and enjoy the views of the city and the water.
From the harbor, walk back up Fifth Avenue and turn onto Broadway, which will take you through the heart of downtown. Along the way, you'll pass by historic buildings, modern skyscrapers, and public art installations.
