Why are V10 Engines becoming Rare Now? Whether it's the Dodge Viper, Porsche Carrera GT, or Lexus LFA, they all are out of production and any planned successor is always a Forced Induction V8. be it the New Lexus LFR, Porsche 918, or even the Dodge Viper Twin Turbo V8 Concepts, the V10 finds itself truly living the Unloved Middle Child Experience. Thankfully it does have one major saving grace. As Emissions get more stringent, perhaps even the V12 will struggle to exist, thus giving way for the V10 to rise up as the new crown king of Piston Engines...for however many years until Regulations finally catch up to it as well. The Endless March of Time won't be too kind to Piston Engines, but at least within our hearts and minds, we can always remember them for what they were and while we have them, let's continue to enjoy them for what they are.
