The Topkapı Palace served as the headquarter of the Ottoman Empire for centuries and many Ottoman sultans have live here. The palace in located at the best possible spot in the historical peninsula that oversees the whole city and has a wonderful panoramic view over the Bosporus. The Harem section of the palace is a large complex inside the palace and needleless to say was the most private section of the whole complex.
