Daisy Anderson, Director of Procurement Services at Messiah University, talks about her experience of working with Unimarket. Our thanks to Daisy for generously making time for this interview.
Transcript:
0:06-0:19: At the time, we were using our ERP system to do our purchasing and it was really difficult for people to use, so a lot of people were just going around the system and purchasing in different ways that we didn't want them to be purchasing.
0:20-0:25: We were looking for a system that was going to be easy for our employees to use.
0:26-0:33: We wanted to automate the process and really make it streamlined from beginning to end and Unimarket was able to provide all of that for us.
0:34-0:41: Efficiencies are fantastic as well so we really cut down on the steps in the process where we have to intervene.
0:42-0:49: With the e-invoicing tool, suppliers are actually able to log into the system and enter our invoices directly in the system.
0:50-0:58: When an invoice is entered, it automatically goes in and matches everything up and if it matches, it automatically submits it for payment and we only have to deal with the exceptions.
0:59-1:16: We also took our training very individually within our departments. We did not do large group training because different areas on our campus do very different types of purchasing and Unimarket was great with that, even though again it wasn't the normal approach, they were fantastic in helping us through it.
1:17-1:30: They are there with us all the time, they're always coming out with upgrades and they are very often based on suggestions that they've gotten from other users at the schools and we love that they do that. They really listen to what we have to say.
