NOVA Spare Roof and the Sail Maneuver - SM - is a tremendous improvment in the Spare Roof Technique.
This new version was idealized, tested and conceptualized by our team: Tiago Lyrio, me and Nuno Dourado (engineer).
It is based in the concept that Dorsal Preservation Rhinoplasty is always a vectorial surgery that increases the length of the nose - thats why the horinzontal and vertical scroll act as a blocking point.
Dehumpng in Preservation: basicaly an isosceles triangle (or 2 triangles) will be converted in one straight line - the DALs.
Now we know excatly how much each nose will increase in lenght due to mathematical thinking.
The Sail Maneuver allows a more stable solution without disarticulation of the Lateral Keystone Area.
