🚫🎙Don't launch your podcast without a strategy. Here's Pod Sound School's 10 Step: How to Launch Your Podcast | Podcasting 101

Before you Launch Your Podcast:

1️⃣ Dive deeper - More show development
✅ How can you stand out?
✅ What makes your podcast unique?
✅ What community are you serving?
✅ Who do you imagine is going to listen to your podcast?
2️⃣ Pick a Launch Date (but wait until the end of this list)
3️⃣ Create a Podcast Trailer (include your launch date) (Our trailer videos)
4️⃣ Build 1 or 2 social media profiles
✅ Where are your listeners hanging out?
✅ Get out of your comfort zone!
✅ Be social!
5️⃣ Record and edit a handful of episodes (3-6)
✅ Take the time to REALLY edit and polish each episode
✅ Hook listeners in and give them a payoff
6️⃣ Decide on a posting schedule
✅How many episodes to launch with (2 or 3 is a great choice)
7️⃣ Create shareable graphics and audiograms for posting
8️⃣ Make some noise!!! Promote, promote, promote!
✅ Go live on social media
✅ Join clubhouse or Audio Chat groups
✅ Create conversations around the topic of your show
✅ Try to be interviewed on similar podcasts before your launch
✅ Join Facebook groups
✅ Ask your friends and family to join in on the promotional efforts
✅ If you have an email list (no matter how small) send emails about the coming launch
✅ Days before your launch date, if you had guests on your first handful of episodes, invite them to go live with you to talk about their episode and why people got to mark their calendar for the launch date
✅ Create countdown timers
9️⃣ Apply to be featured on Apple Podcasts
✅ After posting your podcast trailer, but at least 2 weeks before your launch date.
🔟 Launch DAY
✅ Make it an event
✅ Listening party, live or in-person
✅ Giveaways
✅ Be all over social media
✅ Ask anyone and everyone to listen, rate, and review
✅ Highlight reviews and ratings with simple graphics for social media
✅ Ask for real feedback and gather data to apply to your next batch of episodes
✅ Get some well-deserved rest, you’re going to need it! You’re just getting started! And your podcast is going to take you places!!
