A disturbing video from Newark Airport has gone viral, showing an Indian student from Haryana being violently restrained and handcuffed by U.S. authorities. The student is heard crying, “I’m not mad, they are trying to prove me mad.” Indian-American entrepreneur Kunal Jain, who filmed the incident, says he’s witnessed similar mistreatment of Indian students before and has informed the Indian Embassy. With over 1,080 deportations since January 2025, this incident has reignited concerns over the treatment of Indians at U.S. airports.
