I managed to reach the top of the mountain. During the climb, I could see huge dark storm clouds approaching, but I knew I wouldn’t make it back down in time. I decided to wait out the storm up here, on this forgotten peak. It’s not the safest place, I know… but I had no other choice. The birds went quiet, and all the insects had vanished. Now I know what it feels like to be truly alone. All the animals are waiting for it to pass. It’s just me here, hoping I’ll make it home today. It’s frightening, but at the same time, I finally feel alive. Sometimes, loneliness can be quite exhilarating.
