Meet ELISA.

She’s a “smart” device named after the first lyme disease test that most people take, which is less than 50% accurate, but often misunderstood (even by well-intentioned doctors) as a hard yes or no.

Our ELISA is here to set the record straight. Like the test, she can’t tell you for sure if you have lyme or not. She wasn’t designed for that. But she does have some good advice: keep bringing up your symptoms, and keep asking about lyme.

The cluster of symptoms alone can be enough to warrant lyme treatment, so visit projectlyme.org/elisa for a Patient Toolkit you can bring with you on your (or your loved one’s) visit; and if the doctor gets defensive or doesn’t seem willing to listen, find another doctor.
