Although the origins of vinyl records date back earlier, CBS introduced records as we know them today in 1948. Ten years later, stereo records were released. In 1982, the Compact Disc was released, which ushered in the digital-music revolution. As a result of the success of the CD, many people thought vinyl records would die. But they haven't. Any why haven't they? We don't believe any one person knows for sure, so on December 19, 2024, we went to The Record Centre, in Ottawa, Canada, to ask people there why they like vinyl so much. Watch this video to find out what they said.
