The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reportedly formed a special committee in response to the dramatic trophy-presentation fiasco at the 2025 Asia Cup.

Here’s what went down: After the final between India national cricket team and Pakistan national cricket team, India refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The presentation ceremony was delayed, the trophy was not handed over, and the ACC chairman reportedly left the stadium with it. The BCCI has lodged a formal objection and is pushing the matter up the chain — leading to the ICC’s decision to intervene.
