This is the super short bullet talk by Syed Ishtiaque Ahmed describing the necessities of involving end users in designing technologies. Putting the developing regions as an example, he tried to explain the necessities to involve human sciences in proper growth of technologies. At the same time he introduced the international community to his research group, Human-Technology Interaction (HTI), which he formed in Bangladesh with a number of undergraduate students to solve the local problems of Bangladeshi communities using innovative technologies. He has still been monitoring that group.

He delivered this talk in the Fulbright Science and Technology Annual Meeting in Orlando, Floria in November 17, 2012. Five selected talks competed in this event and Ishtiaque stood 2nd.
