The ranking comes from an independent Statista survey run in partnership with Forbes — more than 300,000 employees in 50+ countries gave over 4 million evaluations across 26 industries. From 6,000 multinationals, 900 made the cut as the world’s top employers.

🇨🇭 Switzerland punches above its size — Rolex, Roche, Logitech, and Schindler combine luxury, pharma, and precision engineering.

🏨 Hospitality rises — Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt all rank high, a sector often hit by tough working conditions.

📦 Retail resilience — Costco and Ikea prove that even in high-turnover sectors, employee trust can deliver global recognition.

🎶 Culture and creativity matter — Spotify and Lego show how brand pride and mission can be as powerful as salary.

🌐 Beyond the obvious — South Africa’s Standard Bank and Nedbank, the Philippines’ San Miguel, and Canada’s Shopify highlight how opportunities exist well beyond Silicon Valley or Europe’s corporate hubs.

💡 Employees were asked not just if they’d recommend their own employer, but also how they rated others in their industry. The scores reflect direct experience (career growth, pay, diversity, working conditions) and indirect reputation.
