Deotalab Temple is an ancient Hindu temple located in Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to date back to the Gupta or Kalachuri period. Its name comes from “Deo” (God) and “Talab” (pond), as the temple is built near a sacred pond that adds to its spiritual significance.

The site is known for its intricate stone carvings, old idols, and inscriptions that highlight the architectural style of central India in the early medieval era. Local legends say the temple was a major center of devotion and pilgrimage, with its pond considered holy for ritual baths. Even today, devotees gather here during Shivratri and other Hindu festivals.
