Here I have created a light Wood look as requested by my lovely customer

Have you tried painting faux wood finishes?
There is so many options in your colour choices. Light, medium, dark, Grey's and so on

I have experimented with a few colours now. I have also experimented with a couple of techniques.
I find applying a paint wash over my base coat successful.
The paint wash gives more of a subtle natural grain wood look once the stain colour choice is applied.
