I wish someone had told me this sooner.

There are way too many strange opinions out there about kids, where they belong, how they should act in public, like they come with an on/off switch. 🙄

But after traveling through Southeast Asia with our two little ones, I can honestly say: we’ve felt nothing but kindness. And Indonesia, especially Yogyakarta, stands out in a big way. 🇮🇩

I’m not traveling with a baby anymore, so I figured the charm might wear off. Nope.

People here have open hearts. Our kids have been given keychains, snacks, stuffed animals, and so much attention, the good kind that gives us, the parents, a few minutes to just sit… breathe… connect.

It’s the kind of magic you can’t plan, but it matters more than you realize when you’re far from home and raising tiny humans on the road.

So consider yourself warned, Indonesia will win you over.
